It remains to be seen how big of an impact the news of Boston Celtics wing Baylor Scheierman breaking his thumb will have on his game in the coming weeks. But when looking back at the growth of his game with the Celtics this season, it is hard not to be impressed by the strides made by the Creighton alum.

And that extends to teammate Sam Hauser, who had words of encouragement for his fellow Boston sharpshooter who also established themselves as a defensive force with the Celtics. “He does a little bit of everything,” said Hauser at a recent team practice.

“Everything, sort of a Swiss Army knife— he’s been playing really well,” emphasized the Boston forward

“A guy early in the year, it was kind of up and down whether he was going to play a lot or not and got thrown into the starting lineup and he’s made the most of it for sure,” he added.

“And it’s awesome to see another guy work his way into the rotation and have consistent minutes and play well. When you get a moment like that, you just want to make the most of it and do the best you can, and he’s done a really good job with that.”
