Jonathan Kuminga has continued to show out as an Atlanta Hawk since being traded by the Warriors at the NBA deadline.
And as the former No. 7 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft put together another impressive performance in his third game with his new team, Hawks fans decided to show their appreciation — for Golden State.
Fans at State Farm Arena in Atlanta chanted “Thank you, Warriors” while Kuminga was at the free-throw line during the Hawks’ 135-101 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
With 20 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals, Kuminga again was a key piece in an Atlanta win.
In three games, the talented 23-year-old now is averaging 21.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists — while also shooting 67.7 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from 3-point range.
No wonder Hawks fans are glad Golden State traded him away.

And, of course, “Air Congo” threw down some huge dunks for good measure.
Granted, it still only has been three games for Kuminga in his new threads. But if he can keep this up, the Warriors really might regret trading him away — and Hawks fans only will get more thankful.
