The OKC Thunder announced Monday that it waived Buddy Boeheim and signed Payton Sandfort to a two-way contract.
Sandfort, 23, is an undrafted rookie out of Iowa who has spent this season with the OKC Blue. The 6-foot-7 forward is averaging 11.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists through 16 games in the G League on 37.5% shooting from the field (33.1% from deep).

Boeheim appeared in four games with the Thunder this season after signing a two-way contract on Feb. 6. He averaged 1.5 points in 3.8 minutes.
Sandfort now joins Branden Carlson and Brooks Barnhizer as OKC’s three players on two-way deals. Carlson can be listed as active for 12 more NBA games this season before he reaches his contractual limit, according to Spotrac, while Barnhizer has 15 games remaining.
Next up for OKC (47-15) is a road game against the Chicago Bulls at 7 p.m. CST Tuesday.
