An absolute just throttling.

Look, the Spurs just lost a couple of nights ago to the Knicks in Madison Square Garden at the end of a long road trip, and everybody says, “Ooh, maybe the Spurs are…” No.

The Spurs just, you’re gonna have that night in the NBA.

They came right back out and reminded us, Caroline, that they are clearly a championship contender, and the 76ers clearly are not.

Yeah.

Just when we wanted to think like, “Oh, maybe there’s a little something there there with the Sixers.

Maybe the East just got that much more interesting.

Maybe the Sixers are the fifth best.”

No.

Mm-mm.

No, no, no, no, no.

You are what you, you know, what you show us to be, especially at this point in the season.

Maybe earlier on in the season in January, we could say, “Oh, okay.

Pretenders?

Contenders?

I don’t know.”

No, in March, you, you reveal yourself as a pretender or a contender, and the Sixers are squarely a pretender.

And the Spurs are 1,000% a contender.

And dare I say, Fitzy, dare I say the scariest thing about this Spurs team isn’t the eight-foot tall literal alien w- that they have playing for them, like somebody who was so perfectly crafted genetically to play the game of basketball.

Dare I say Wemby isn’t even the scariest thing about this team.

Dare I say the scariest thing about San Antonio is how deep they are, is how they’ve had a different leading scorer in each of their last four to five games, is the fact on any given night, we could see, Stephon Castle putting up 20-plus points, Wemby putting up 20-plus points.

We can see Dylan Harper putting up 20-plus points.

We can see De’Aaron Fox putting up 20-plus points.

Like, on any given night, any of those guys can have a massive game.

On any given night, if maybe, you know, let’s say a Wemby doesn’t have his best night against the Knicks, he can come back the next game and drop 20-plus, plus d- you know, 10 to 15 rebounds on any given night.

Like, this team is so incredibly deep, and they can beat you in so many different ways.

That is what’s so terrifying about this Spurs team to me.
