The NBA news cycle has squeezed every drop of juice out of the Oklahoma City Thunder‘s 127-121 overtime win over the Denver Nuggets. Nearly a week later, we’re seeing new storylines emerge. Of course, the catalyst is Lu Dort’s ejection for tripping Nikola Jokic.

In a drama-filled OT win, Dort was ejected in the fourth quarter. He tripped Jokic on a routine inbounds pass. The three-time MVP winner saw red and immediately confronted him. Jaylin Williams joined in to defend his teammate.

Eventually, Dort was handed a flagrant foul two. That meant an automatic ejection. Jokic and Williams were handed a double technical foul. Five days later, Dort had the chance to reflect on the move. He told The Athletic he felt some level of regret for the move.

Several Nuggets personnel were asked about Dort’s comments. The Thunder and Nuggets will face off again on Monday in a primetime matchup that the entire NBA world will keep an eye on. Here’s what they had to say on his apology and if it means anything:

David Adelman

“No. No.”
