The Portland Trail Blazers are offering fans a chance to own a piece of history. Specifically, a piece of the court where the Blazers won the 1977 NBA championship.
The “1977 Experience” raises money for youth programs supported by the Trail Blazers Foundation.
In addition to owning a piece of the court, fans have a chance to get their name on a special fan wall that will be displayed inside the Moda Center.
Here is the full announcement from the Blazers and how to get a piece of the court:
The Portland Trail Blazers have announced a once-in-a-generation opportunity for Rip City to take home a piece of history and etch their name on a new display inside Moda Center. The 1977 Experience, Powered by Vortex Legacy Group, allows fans to own a piece of the legendary 1977 Championship Court, the original hardwood from the franchise’s NBA title season. A portion of proceeds from the 1977 Experience will directly support local youth initiatives through the Trail Blazers Foundation. Fans can visit trailblazers.com/the1977Experience to learn more about the program and visit HERE for renderings.
The 1977 Experience invites fans to join the anniversary celebration of the 1977 championship team by taking home a piece of history, with select packages including name placement on a new Wall of Champions at Moda Center that will be prominently featured in the Trail Blazers concourse broadcast area. Nearly 50 years after the team celebrated an NBA championship in the streets of Portland, the franchise is inviting fans to become part of that championship legacy. See below for more details on various purchase packages.
Trail Blazers season ticket members (full/halves/suite holders) received an exclusive purchasing window, which began yesterday and runs through this evening, while the public on sale will tip off Friday, March 6 at 9 a.m. Fans can explore two levels of packages — the Wall of Champions packages, which include name recognition, owning a piece of the championship court and exclusive experiences, or the Own a Piece of History packages, which offer standalone championship court pieces. The exclusive purchasing opportunity tips off the beginning of the 50th anniversary celebration of the 1977 championship season, with additional programming planned throughout the 2026-27 season.
The Wall of Champions display will prominently feature the names of all members of the 1977 championship team in Trail Blazers red, with fans etching their name alongside the team in black. Fans purchasing Wall of Champions packages will also receive an invite to a special unveiling event, with founding members attending a private reception and receiving their name in a larger size on the wall.
