The Philadelphia 76ers will hit the road for two games starting with matchup with the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. The Sixers are 0-3 against the Hawks on the season and will need to pick up an important win as Atlanta has begun to get hot.
As far as the injury report is concerned, Paul George (league suspension) remains sidelined as he has 10 games remaining on his 25-game suspension handed down from the league. The 9-time All-Star is eligible to return on March 25 against the Chicago Bulls.
As for Joel Embiid, the big fella has missed the previous three games due to a right oblique strain. He is listed as out against the Hawks due to the issue and he will be re-evaluated in a week. That means he will miss matchups with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Memphis Grizzlies, and the Detroit Pistons before his re-evaluation.
VJ Edgecombe missed Wednesday’s win over the Utah Jazz due to a lumbar contusion he suffered in Tuesday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs. He is listed as doubtful against the Hawks.
Rookie big man Johni Broome (right knee surgery recovery) is out.
