Raptors 905 of the NBA G-League has claimed former No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz off waivers, it was announced Friday afternoon.

The 27-year-old was taken by the Philadelphia 76ers with the top pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, but struggled with a shoulder condition that affected his ability to shoot.

Fultz appeared in only 33 games with the Sixers before being traded to the Orlando Magic ahead of the 2019-20 NBA season. He then spent the next five seasons in Orlando, appearing in a combined 201 games.

He last appeared in an NBA game during last season with the Sacramento Kings, averaging 2.9 points, 1.3 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 8.8 minutes a night.

In 255 career regular season NBA games, Fultz has averaged 10.4 points and 4.8 assists.
