Arizona State men’s basketball guard Alston Mason received a pre-NBA Draft workout from the Phoenix Suns, he posted Wednesday afternoon.

Mason paced all sun Devils scorers behind 13.8 points on 43.4% shooting and 38.7% from long range. He also led the way in assists per game with four to go along with 2.5 rebounds.

The Suns currently hold Nos. 29 and 52 in the upcoming draft, which tips off June 25.

A look at some of the other draft prospects to work out for the Suns this draft cycle:

Basheer Jihad, ASU forward

ASU forward Basheer Jihad received a pre-NBA Draft workout invite from the Phoenix Suns, according to Synced Sports Agency.

The forward also got an invite from the Washington Wizards, per his representation.

Jihad transferred to ASU last season after a three-year stint at Ball State.

In his lone season as a Sun Devil, the 6-foot-9 forward averaged 12.7 points on 40.6% shooting and 28.5% from long range. He added 5.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals across 30.5 minutes per game.

Jihad was third on the team in points, second in rebounds and tied for first in steals per game.

RJ Luis, St. John’s guard

Luis posted a photo of the Suns practice court on Instagram this past weekend.

He spent two seasons at St. John’s where he averaged 15.3 points per game on 43.4% shooting and 30.5% from long range.

The 6-foot-7 guard also recorded 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 31.8 minutes per game.

In his final season at St. John’s, Luis was named 2024-25 Big East Player of the Year behind career highs in points (18.2), rebounds (7.2), assists (2.0) and steals (1.4).

Labaron Philon, Alabama guard

Philon was also in town for a pre-draft workout, according to his TikTok story.

Appearing in 37 games as a freshman at Alabama, Philon averaged 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.4 steals across 24.7 minutes per game.

He shot 45.2% from the field and 31.5% from deep.

The 6-foot-4 guard earned SEC All-Freshman honors for his efforts.

RJ Felton, East Carolina guard

The 6-foot-3 guard earned a pre-draft workout with the team, according to Exclusive Athletes Agency.

In his fourth and final season with the Pirates, Felton set career highs in points (18.8), rebounds (6.4), assists (2.5) and steals (1.2).

Caleb Grill, Missouri guard

Grill spent two seasons in Missouri after stops at Iowa State (2019-20, 2021-23) and UNLV (2020-21).

In the 6-foot-3 guard’s final year with Missouri, Grill averaged 13.7 points on 47.2% shooting and 39.6% from deep. He added 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

Tahaad Pettiford, Auburn guard

The 6-foot-1 guard appeared in 38 games across his lone season at Auburn.

He averaged 11.6 points on 42.1% shooting and 36.6% from long range to go along with 2.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

Jonathan Pierre, Belmont forward

Pierre spent one season at Belmont after a year with Memphis.

Last season, the 6-foot-9 forward averaged 13.8 points on 40.2% shooting and 36.9% from 3-point land. He chipped in 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists across 33 games.

Deivon Smith, St. John’s guard

Smith appeared in 30 games for St. John’s after stops at Utah (2023-24), Georgia Tech (2021-23) and Mississippi State (2020-21).

Last season, the 6-foot-1 guard averaged 9.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

He shot 38% from the field and 35.2% from deep.
