Draymond Green points out crucial mistakes made by Anthony Edwards and Chris Finch.
The Minnesota Timberwolves were on a terrific run during the 2025 NBA Playoffs, at least during the first two rounds.
After all, the organization took out the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors in back-to-back series. However, the Timberwolves met their match in the Western Conference Finals.
The Timberwolves were handed a 4-1 series defeat by the number one seed in the West, the OKC Thunder. But before the T-Wolves were eliminated, Warriors veteran Draymond Green pointed out some serious concerns about the team.

At just 23 years old, Anthony Edwards already has two trips to the conference finals under his belt. Evidently, Ant has improved a lot as a leader of the team since the Karl-Anthony Towns trade.
However, it’s obvious that there’s still room for improvement in that department as pointed out by Green in the recent episode of his podcast.
“I’ve seen some stuff coming from the Timberwolves that is hard to rally around, you know, like Ant Man’s press conference last game, saying he didn’t get enough shots,” Green said.
“Like I want to see. Ant Man, just own that moment. I’m saying, like, ‘I wasn’t good enough’, because saying ‘I ain’t got enough shots,’ like you got the ball,” the 4x NBA champion added.
Green concluded: “You kind of gotta go make that happen.”
For reference, Edwards scored just 16 and 19 points in Games 4 and 5, respectively. Instead of accepting his shortcomings, Edwards dished out the blame elsewhere.
Chris Finch was wrong about Julius Randle
On one hand, Green criticized Edwards’ demeanor after the T-Wolves went down 3-1. The Dubs veteran also condemned what head coach Chris Finch did with Julius Randle when he struggled in the WCF.
“I also didn’t like benching Julius Randle in the fourth quarter in the first bad game he’s having in the playoffs.”
Despite scoring 28 points in the opening game of the conference finals, coach Finch reduced Randle’s minutes in the next four games.
This showed a clear lack of trust in the 3x NBA All-Star’s abilities. Either way, the Timberwolves have an important offseason ahead of them to improve their flaws and potentially make a comeback next season.
