NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The New Orleans Pelicans host the Toronto Raptors tonight at 7 p.m. in a game that marks Brandon Ingram’s first return to the Smoothie King Center since the Pelicans traded him to Toronto in February of last year.
The game will air on the Gulf Coast Sports Entertainment Network.
Trey Murphy reflects on Ingram’s influence
Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III said Ingram’s work ethic shaped his own development during their time together in New Orleans.
“When I first got to New Orleans, BI was a guy I looked at and I said, okay, if I want to get to his level, I got to work as hard as he does,” Murphy said. “So it helped me work on my game a lot, you know, more efficiently and more tactically.”
What’s ahead for New Orleans
After tonight’s game, the Pelicans travel to Houston for one road game before returning to the Smoothie King Center for four consecutive home games against the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers (twice), and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
