The New York Knicks have a few injury concerns heading into their Friday night matchup against the Indiana Pacers.

While they added some key names to the initial injury report, released on Thursday night, there were further additions on Friday afternoon, leaving more questions in play as they gear up for Indiana.

Karl-Anthony Towns was seen dealing with discomfort during the Knicks’ recent victory over the Utah Jazz on the road. Although he briefly left the game, Towns managed to finish the night with 30 minutes played. He wrapped up the outing with 20 points (61% from the field), seven rebounds, and seven assists.

While he was healthy enough to finish, Towns’ knee soreness became a concern as they move forward.

Towns was downgraded from questionable to doubtful. It’s unclear how severe his setback is, but it’s going to be something to monitor moving forward.

This season, Towns has appeared in 63 games for the Knicks. While shooting 49% from the field, Towns has posted averages of 20.0 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.

Josh Hart has been a name to monitor for some time now. The starting forward missed his first game since early February while the Knicks were in Utah. He’s another key presence, producing 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds when he’s on the floor. Hart is knocking down threes at a 37% clip this year.

As for Sochan, he was a late addition to the report. The former San Antonio Spurs draft pick was recently acquired by the Knicks through free agency. He has made 10 appearances for the Knicks so far. His playing time is under six minutes per game.

One peek at the injury report will tell an NBA fan the entire story of the Pacers’ season.

This year, the Pacers started off with terrible luck on the injury front. They knew from the gate that Tyrese Haliburton had no shot at playing after he tore his Achilles during the NBA Finals.

The injury hits kept on coming throughout the year, placing the Pacers in a gap season. Heading into the Friday night matchup, the Pacers have a 15-51 record. They are last in the Eastern Conference as a result.
