2024-25 season series: Warriors won 2-0

This is the first of 2 meetings, with the teams also hooking up at Chase Center in San Francisco March 27. The Warriors have won 6 in a row in the series, while going 4-1-1 against the spread (ATS). Washington’s last win was March 27, 2022. The Over cashed in both meetings last season, while the total has gone high in 6 of the past 8 in the series.

Golden State is making the second stop on a 6-game road trip. The trip started with a 110-107 loss at the New York Knicks Sunday, although the Warriors cashed as a 14.5-point underdog as the Under (218.5) cashed. G Brandin Podziemski posted 25 points with 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 3-pointers with 2 steals.

The Warriors have dropped 5 straight games, and 7 of the past 8 outings, while going 1-3 ATS in the past 4 games, while the Over is 3-1 in the same span. Golden State actually did a good job Sunday, as it was using its 11th different starting lineup in the past 11 games, and 34th of the season, due to a plethora of injuries.

Washington suffered a 111-100 loss at Boston as a 20.5-point underdog Saturday, as C Tristan Vukcevic was good for 22 points, including 6 triples. It has lost 11 straight games, including the March 10 loss in Miami which saw C Bam Adebayo roll up 83 points. The Over is 3-1 in the past 4 games, and 6-2 across the previous 8 outings.

Warriors at Wizards picks and predictionsPrediction

Warriors 117, Wizards 112

The Warriors (-325) will cost you more than 3 times your potential return, and that’s way too much risk for not nearly enough reward.

Golden State is just too banged up to trust at this price, not that you would bet such a strong favorite on the road anyway.

AVOID.

It’s tough to trust the WIZARDS +7.5 (-110), so hold your nose and go lightly. Washington isn’t a very good team, but it is essentially playing a G-League version of Golden State due to all of the injuries.

The Warriors are coming in on no rest after playing in New York Sunday. They started a lineup consisting of Malevy Jones, Gui Santos, Quinten Post, Will Richard and Podziemski. Post was questionable due to an ankle, but he was able to tough it out for 22 points against the Knicks.

UNDER 231.5 (-110) is a solid play given how many players are dotting Golden State’s injury report. It cashed low in New York, and the Under is 2-2 in the past 4 road games.

The Under cashed in Washington’s 111-100 loss in Boston. The Under also hit in Washington’s most recent home game on March 5, a 122-112 loss to the Utah Jazz.
