Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards is out with right knee inflammation and will be re-evaluated in 1-2 weeks, the team announced Tuesday.

Edwards underwent an MRI this week, which revealed the inflammation. He played 37 minutes in the Timberwolves’ most recent game on March 15, tallying 19 points, six rebounds and five assists in the 116-103 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The 24-year-old All-Star is averaging a career-high 29.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists over 58 games this season.

The Timberwolves (41-27) are currently 6th in the Western Conference standings, just 2.0 games ahead of the Phoenix Suns in 7th place and the Play-In Tournament.
