See the latest injury update for Spurs star Victor Wembanyama, who is on the injury report ahead of Saturday’s game vs. the Pacers.
The San Antonio Spurs are one of the NBA’s hottest teams at the moment, riding a four-game winning streak at 9-1 over their last 10. They get a matchup against a tanking Indiana Pacers squad on Saturday, but they may be without superstar Victor Wembanyama for this one.
Wembanyama was not initially listed on the injury report for today but was added in the early afternoon. The designation is ankle soreness for the Frenchman. He is questionable to play.
Co-star Stephon Castle also appeared on the injury report and has been ruled out due to hip tightness.
Wembanyama leads the Spurs in scoring with 24.3 points per game, but his impact goes far beyond that column. His 11.1 rebounds are a team high, as are his 3.0 blocks — which lead the entire NBA. The 22-year-old’s shooting splits of a 50.6% FG% and 35.7% 3P% are also the best marks of his three-year career thus far.
The Spurs are 52-18 on the season and come in as a massive 17.5-point favorite at home against the Pacers tonight on DraftKings Sportsbook.
