Olivia Miles seemingly confirmed her relationship with former Notre Dame teammate and current teammate of Angel Reese, Maddy Westbeld, on the Chicago Sky.
Miles, one of the Fighting Irish’s stars last season, shocked the program and college basketball by transferring to TCU, leading to a heated confrontation with Hannah Hidalgo. Though Miles’ decision to transfer was shocking, many former Notre Dame stars understood the star guard’s decision to play elsewhere.
Now that she’s transferred out of Notre Dame, Miles potentially could have confirmed her relationship with Westbeld. On Friday, the 22-year-old posted a 13-photo carousel to her personal Instagram page detailing what she has been up to in recent weeks.

Among those included in the carousel was Westbeld, with the Sky rookie appearing in two photos where she and Miles are very close to one another. Fans on social media were quick to jump on the post, believing it was Miles’ way of “hard launching” her relationship with Westbeld.
“pov: liv and maddy hard launch?!?!?” one fan pondered on Instagram. And while most fans were receptive of seeing Miles’ relationship with Westbeld, another fan believed the proof had been out in the open for a while that the two were more than just teammates.
“Yeah you are super late we’ve known for a few years now,” a fan began on X. “I mean when you co parent a cat it is pretty obvious you’re more than teammates.”

For both Westbeld and Miles, the confirmation of their relationship is just another change in their lives. Westbeld has been experiencing life as a professional in the WNBA and recently saw her former teammate Liatu King waived by the Los Angeles Sparks, who was quickly re-signed to a hardship contract.
Still, how her final season at Notre Dame ended is fueling the Sky rookie. Speaking to CBS Sports, Westbeld explained the added fire she’s playing with as a rookie in the league.
“I think when a team doesn’t finish out the year like it was projected or, the standard that they had, obviously it’s very disappointing,” she began. “Just as a player and all of the relationships that I’ve had with every one of those girls, it’s like, you wanna always go out on a high note, and you wanna have your last memory with them be a great one.

“However, it doesn’t take away from all of the amazing memories and the things that we had been able to accomplish prior to that. I can’t only hang my hat on what happened in the last part of this past season, just because we have been through so much together and what happened doesn’t speak for the character of the university, the character of the brand of just that team in general.
“I’m just so grateful to have been a part of that, and what we had accomplished up to this point, and then also just going forward, understanding like, I couldn’t do it at that level.
“You know, I didn’t win a championship. That was the goal. So going into this next chapter of my life.
“I’m really excited and humbled by the fact that I’m in an underdog situation again where I’m able to really just push for another championship, and that’s why I’m so excited about playing for Chicago. Because everybody has that mentality, that edge about them, and we all are here to win, and we all are here to compete to be the best. So that’s what I’m so excited about.”
