What do the Boston Celtics need to do before the 2026 NBA Playoffs? Some of that question already has an answer in motion, with Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla beginning to tighten the rotation in regular season games as the postseason starts to draw near.

But that is not the only bit of unfinished business for Boston before the ‘offs begin, with recent arrival Nikola Vucevic working his way back on the court from a broken ring finger sustained just weeks into his Celtics tenure. Boston also needs to get star forward Jayson Tatum fully ready for postseason play as the St. Louis native ramps up his minutes over the last dozen or so contests in the regular season.
