Key players on both sides have been ruled out as the Sacramento Kings prepare to face the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday at Golden 1 Center in a game with major NBA draft lottery implications.
The Nets have the third-worst record in the NBA. The Kings have the fourth-worst record. The teams with the three worst records will have a 52.1% chance of securing a top-four pick and a 14% chance landing the No. 1 pick.
The Kings (18-53) are coming off back-to-back losses to the San Antonio Spurs and Philadelphia 76ers after winning four of their previous five games. They have the fourth-easiest remaining schedule in the NBA.
Sacramento is listing Daeqwon Plowden as questionable due to right foot soreness. Russell Westbrook (right foot soreness) has been ruled out along with Drew Eubanks (thumb), De’Andre Hunter (eye), Zach LaVine (finger), Keegan Murray (ankle), Domantas Sabonis (knee) and Isaiah Stevens (ankle).
The Nets (17-53) have lost six in a row and 16 of their last 18. They have the easiest remaining schedule in the NBA.
Brooklyn will be missing four starters after ruling out Nic Claxton (rest), Noah Clowney (right wrist sprain), Michael Porter Jr. (left hamstring strain) and Egor Demin (left plantar fascia injury management). Day’Ron Sharpe (left thumb surgery) is out as well.
