Members of the Royal Purple attended the Milwaukee Bucks PR & Journalism Day March 17. The event allowed journalism and public relations students to learn from professionals and understand what it is like to work with a sports team.
The day began with a panel discussion with The Athletic’s Bucks beat reporter Eric Nehm and Communications Manager Amanda Janczak. Afterwards, students received a behind-the-scenes tour of Fiserv Forum, where they got to see the Marquette men’s basketball locker room, suites and offices.
After a few-hour break, they got to watch the Bucks take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite the Bucks losing 123-116, students still received priceless knowledge and experiences.
