Just 24 hours after the Boston Celtics lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 102-92 at the TD Garden, Boston welcomed WWE RAW to town. The popular wrestling show also took place at the TD Garden, welcoming thousands of screaming fans, including a few celebrities. Among them were Celtics guard Derrick White and head coach Joe Mazzulla.

The duo was shown in the seating section at the start of the show, and it appeared as if Mazzulla was getting into the spirit of things.

Mazzulla hugged White before throwing some pretend blows to his guard’s neck and back. White covered up, smiling and laughing while the crowd cheered. As you would expect, the two were treated to a great night of sports entertainment, featuring some of the biggest names in the industry.

Oba Femi fought off Brock Lesnar. CM Punk got dismantled by Roman Reigns after first having a verbal battle with Jey Uso. And, Danhausen, who has been taking the WWE Universe by storm, was also in attendance.

After the event had finished, Mazzulla was pictured with Paul “Triple H” Leveque for one of his famous “pointing photos.”

Knowing how Mazzulla likes to go about his coaching, where he draws on mentality, approach and execution from other sports, it will be interesting to hear whether his trip to RAW gave him some fresh material for an upcoming practice. Nevertheless, it was great to see White and Mazzulla out and having fun, as they look to put the loss to Minnesota behind them.

The Celtics will be back in action on Wednesday, March 25, when the Oklahoma City Thunder visit the TD Garden. Hopefully, Boston will be the one landing the three-count by the end of the night.
