(IOWA CITY, IA) – Former Northwest Missouri State basketball coach Ben McCollum has a new player to coach for his new team the Iowa Hawkeyes. His son and former Maryville High School basketball player, Peyton McCollum is joining him in Iowa City.
Playing for Waukee Northwest High School in Waukee Iowa last season as a senior, McCollum was the key part of a Waukee Northwest team that made it to the Iowa high school state championship game, where they took second place.
McCollum was the Wolves’ second-leading scorer, posting 13.1 points per game. The 6-foot-2 guard was named Class 4A First Team All-State.
