Just like that, two rounds are done and only sixteen teams remain. There have been some interesting upsets (Iowa over Florida State, UT over BYU) as well as some predictable advancements (Duke, Arizona, Michigan, and Purdue).

Here’s the Sweet Sixteen matchups:

Thursday, March 26- West on CBS

6:10 p.m. (11) Texas vs. (2) Purdue

8:45 p.m. (4) Arkansas vs. (1) Arizona

Thursday, March 26- South on TBS and truTV

6:30 p.m. (9) Iowa vs. (4) Nebraska

9:05 p.m. (3) Illinois vs. (2) Houston

Friday, March 27- East on CBS

6:10 p.m. (5) St. John’s vs. (1) Duke

8:45 p.m. (3) Michigan State vs. (2) UConn

Friday, March 27- Midwest on TBS and truTV

6:35 p.m. (4) Alabama vs. (1) Michigan

9:10 p.m. (6) Tennessee vs. (2) Iowa State

As a Texan, I am excited for UT. Because of my father-in-law, I am hooked on Michigan State. And out of love for Sean Elliott, I gotta root for those Arizona Wildcats.

I’ll take Texas and Arizona in the West, Iowa (for the Cinderella aspect) and Houston in the South, Duke and Michigan State in the East, and Iowa State and Alabama in the Midwest.

How about you? Any games you paying close attention to? Any key matchups you looking forward to?
