And the Spurs only two games back of OKC for the one seed.
If they overtake the Thunder, I know that’s a big if with just a few games remaining, but if they overtake the Thunder, should Wemby be the MVP?
I think there’s a real argument for that.
You look at the Thunder now, they have arguably– Well, according to Tankathon, they have the second hardest finish to the season.
San Antonio’s, I think, is twentieth.
I think if San Antonio can actually close that gap and they enter the playoffs as the NBA’s number one seed overall, there’s l- there’s a legit argument to give Wemby MVP.
He’s already established himself as a top three player right now, the best defensive player in the game.

If he can stamp his season with the number one overall seed, I think there’s a real shot of him winning the MVP.
Now, granted, the odds aren’t, aren’t currently in his favor because this is SGA’s award to lose.
but I, I think everything’s pointing towards the Spurs’ momentum towards that number one seed.
And if that happens, I would not be surprised if Wemby’s crowned MVP.
