Just two weeks of NBA action remain before the Playoffs, but the NBA on NBC is not letting the regular season go quietly. This week brings a whole new lineup of games across three consecutive days, and it all begins with a Sunday Night Basketball doubleheader.

This week’s Sunday night games highlight teams who all have the postseason on their mind in one way or another. One team is already in the Playoffs, two more are poised for automatic berths, and another is an NBA dynasty hoping to hold on to their shot at a Play-In berth. Bottom line: These games have major Playoff implications, so let’s take a closer look at what’s ahead this Sunday.

Who’s playing on Sunday Night Basketball this week? (March 29)

This week’s Sunday Night Basketball action begins in Oklahoma City, where the defending NBA champs and top team in the league, the Oklahoma City Thunder, play host to the New York Knicks. That game tips off at 7:30 p.m. ET, but it’s only the beginning.

Later that night, the action heads West to Denver, where the Nuggets are set to host the Warriors in a battle of Western Conference playoff contenders. That’ll start at 10 p.m. ET. Both games will air live on NBC in their respective markets, and stream simultaneously on Peacock for all users.

What to expect from this week’s Sunday Night Basketball games

OKC Thunder vs. New York Knicks: The Thunder have nothing left to prove in the regular season. They’ve been dominant all year, against almost every team, and they’ve locked down their spot in the Playoffs. They don’t have to have this win, but because they’re defending their home court, and they’re set for a potential NBA Finals preview, they’ll be playing for bragging rights against New York. The Knicks have been duking it out with the Celtics for second place in the East all year, and the one-two punch of Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson is a winning combination. An upset over the Thunder would be a nice exclamation point as they look ahead to the Playoffs, but the Thunder are still the favorites, so they’ve got an uphill battle.

Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors: Meanwhile in Denver, the Warriors are looking for a road win on the path to the Play-In Tournament. They’re about 10 games ahead of the 11th place team in the West, which basically guarantees them a Play-In shot, but they’ve also been saddled with some very bad injury luck lately. This week could see the return of key players, including potentially Steph Curry and Al Horford, giving Golden State enough time to get their swing back before the postseason, but they’ll have to go through a potent Denver team, including the always jaw-dropping Nikola Jokic, to get the win.
