The Philadelphia 76ers will have plenty of solid options to choose from with the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NBA draft. They can look at the likes of Ace Bailey, VJ Edgecombe, Tre Johnson, Kon Knueppel, and a number of others in what is a deep and talented draft.
The Sixers are looking for young talent. While the goal is to still win a championship in the 2025-26 season, President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey knows he needs some younger pieces to put around his veteran group. Therefore, while the Sixers could trade this pick, they are more likely to make a selection here just to begin stockpiling younger players.

A mock draft performed by Yahoo! Sports has the Sixers selecting Rutgers star Ace Bailey with that No. 3 pick:
While I think the odds of Philadelphia making this pick are low, I think Bailey makes sense here if they stay. He’s a talented scorer with tons of upside, and he’s not as bad of a passer as the numbers indicate. Bailey will help them be more competitive next season, assuming the rest of the roster has better injury luck.
Bailey averaged 17.6 points and 7.2 rebounds in his freshman season with the Scarlet Knights while shooting 34.6% from deep. If he can reel in his shot selection a bit, then Bailey can be a rotational player right away and continue to develop into stardom at the next level. Philadelphia needs somebody who can produce right away and Bailey figures to be that guy.
