PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Phoenix Suns and Mercury gave back to local families this week by building beds for children in need.
The Phoenix Suns-Phoenix Mercury Foundation gave a grant to Sleep in Heavenly Peace to support the organization’s work in the community.
Phoenix Suns General Manager Brian Gregory, Head Coach Jordan Ott and operations staff sanded lumber and assembled headboards to build beds.
“One of our big things with the Suns is intentions. And having a single intention to make a change, make an impact. Theirs were no kid sleeps on the floor in our town. Their single intention has made an unbelievable impact in this community,” Gregory said.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a nonprofit dedicated to building, assembling and delivering beds to children and families in need.
