Oklahoma sophomore guard Dayton Forsythe underwent successful ankle surgery this week, a source told The Oklahoman.
Forsythe battled injuries throughout the season and underwent three to four hours of treatment daily. The surgery was to repair two torn ligaments suffered early in the season, as well as a piece of bone that broke off, the source added.

The Dale native started feeling more comfortable late in the season, scoring 12 or more points on four occasions down the stretch, including during a 14-point outing against Texas A&M.
Forsythe averaged 5.3 points per game with 1.8 assists and 1.4 rebounds this past season.
The Sooners will be without Forsythe when they face Colorado on Wednesday in the eight-team College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas.
SoonerScoop was first to report Forsythe underwent surgery.
“That was a long stretch where I was not feeling too good,” Forsythe said in February. I couldn’t really move really well, and now I’m feeling a lot better. I can get to my spots, I can guard a lot better. I can move. I can jump.”
