On Sunday evening, the Boston Celtics and Charlotte Hornets will face off in North Carolina.

The Celtics most recently beat the Atlanta Hawks (at home) by a score of 109-102.

Jaylen Brown did not play in the win.

For Sunday’s game, the Celtics could remain without Brown.

He is listed as questionable on the injury report.

Underdog NBA wrote: “Jaylen Brown (Achilles) questionable for Sunday.”

Brown is in the middle of an incredible season with averages of 28.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 47.7% from the field and 34.2% from three-point range in 65 games.

He is in his 10th year out of Cal.

Noa Dalzell of CelticsBlog wrote: “I think it’s a good sign that Jaylen Brown is questionable rather than immediately out of tomorrow’s game as he deals with Achilles tendinitis”

Brown’s NBA Career

Brown was picked third in the 2016 NBA Draft after one season in college.

He has been one of the best forwards of his era, and has helped lead Boston to the Eastern Conference finals six times (and NBA Finals twice).

During the 2024 season, Brown and the Celtics won the NBA Championship over the Dallas Mavericks (with Brown winning the Finals MVP Award).

Despite being without Jayson Tatum for more than 50% of the season, the Celtics are currently the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 49-24 record in 73 games.

They have won two in a row (and seven out of ten).

On the other side, the Hornets have gone 39-34 in 73 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.

They have won five in a row (and seven out of ten).
