Kawamura will be available to play, though he remains a minor part of the Bulls’ rotation. The 24-year-old has appeared in just 11 NBA games this season, averaging 3.0 points and 2.9 assists in 11 minutes per contest.
He had been sidelined since last week after suffering a quadriceps injury and was inactive during the Windy City Bulls’ 134-133 loss to the Birmingham Squadron in the G League.
Kawamura has split time between the Bulls and their G League affiliate this season. In 11 G League appearances, the Japanese playmaker averaged 18.7 points, 10.9 assists, and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 35.9 percent from the field.
At 5-foot-7 (1.70 m), Kawamura is currently the shortest player in the NBA and has sacrificed a huge deal in Japan to pursue his dream.
