The Boston Celtics won their 50th game of the 2025-26 NBA season with a 114-99 road won over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday (March 29) evening. It also saw star forward Jayson Tatum hit the 14,000 point mark younger than any Celtic before him in the victory.
The Celtics jumped out to a lead in the contest’s first frame, and held it until the final buzzer. Boston in Charlotte had the rare tie in the shot margin contest at 83 attempts each, but held the Hornets to just 28 percent from beyond the arc and 43 percent from the field overall on a night they shot 41 percent from deep and 51 percent overall. With the win, the Celtics improve to 50-24 on the season, and further cemented their hold on second place in the East.
