Zach Thompson details his best player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Monday’s matchup between the Bulls and the Spurs.

The NBA has a total of eight games on the schedule this Monday, and in one of the primetime matchups, the San Antonio Spurs will look to keep rolling in their push to the playoffs as they welcome the Chicago Bulls to the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio at 8:00 p.m. ET. It should be one of the best matchups of the night and is featured on Peacock/NBCSN Extra. Let’s break down both sides of the contest and find a few strong player prop bets to back.

In the overall matchup, the Spurs are heavy 18.5-point home favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, with an elevated game total of 244.5 points.

The Spurs beat the Bulls, 121-117, back in November in their first meeting of the year. The two teams have gone in dramatically different directions since then. The Spurs have won eight straight and are 24-2 in their last 26 games. The Bulls, on the other hand, are just 5-20 in their last 25 games. Chicago has sunk to 29-45 and is out of the playoffs, while San Antonio is 56-18 and sitting second in the Western Conference, 2 1/2 games behind the Thunder for the top spot in the conference.

For this contest, the Bulls listed Nick Richards and Guerschon Yabusele as questionable while Anfernee Simons, Jaden Ivey and Jalen Smith remain out. The Spurs only listed G League players as out, leaving the rest of their injury report clean.

Bulls vs. Spurs Best Prop Bets

Dylan Harper o13.5 Points (-104)

Harper is averaging 11.7 points per game in his rookie season so far, but he has been trending up lately and usually gets expanded playing time in lopsided wins for the Spurs. Harper has gone over the prop line in three of his last four and five of his last nine.

He had 14 points against the Bucks on Saturday after scoring 24 points against the Pacers and 21 points against the Heat last week.

Even with the Spurs at full strength in the backcourt, Harper gets enough usage to get over this prop line, and if the Spurs blow out the Bulls, Harper could get extra run. With such an elevated point total for this matchup, Harper should find ways to get at least 14 points on Monday.

Tre Jones 25+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (+147)

Former Spurs point guard Tre Jones is one of the few holdovers from the Bulls before the trade deadline, and he has been picking up more work with Ivey and Simons missing time. While he’s only averaging 21.9 PRA (points, rebounds and assists) per game on the season, he has at least 25 PRA in five straight games and eight of his last 10.

Jones had 37 PRA and 34 PRA in the two games in Chicago’s back-to-back last week. He had 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists against the Grizzlies on Saturday, after a strong showing with 21 points, nine assists and seven rebounds against the Thunder.

Even with Josh Giddey healthy and heavily involved, Jones has been very productive in the backcourt lately and can stuff the statsheet with multiple paths to success on this plus-money alternate PRA total. He played the first four 1/2 years of his career with the Spurs and will look to have a big game in a bit of a homecoming on Monday.

Stephon Castle o16.5 Points (-105)

Castle is averaging exactly 16.5 points per game on the season, so this prop is set in a very reasonable spot. However, he has been producing more points lately, and should be in a favorable matchup to score at least 17 against the Bulls in this high-scoring matchup.

Castle had 22 points against the Bucks in his last game and added 10 rebounds and 10 assists for a nice triple-double. He has gone over this prop line in six of his last nine games and two games with hip soreness after scoring just three points in one of the games he fell short.

On Saturday, he definitely looked back to full speed, and he has been a key part in the Spurs surge to the top of the standings. Castle is a strong option on Monday as long as he gets his typical minutes.

Bonus Parlay Pick: Collin Sexton o16.5 Points (-116)

If you’re building an SGP (Same Game Parlay) from this Monday matchup, one way to boost the odds even higher is to take the over on Sexton’s points. Adding this as the fourth player prop into the mix boosts the SGP all the way up to an even +1500 for these four Knicks-Thunder bets.

Sexton had 22 and 26 points in the two games in the Bulls’ back-to-back last week and has gone over this prop in seven of his last 10 games, falling just one point short in one of his three down games. With so many points on the board and so many injured options in the Bulls’ offense, Sexton has a good chance to get to 17 points and finish off a nice SGP.
