Caitlin Clark has been one of the biggest sensations to hit the sport of basketball in recent memory, and over the last two years, she has seemingly transformed the landscape of women’s basketball. After becoming the NCAA’s all-time leading career scorer among both women and men, she has made the WNBA’s Indiana Fever a must-see team, and she still has lots of room for improvement.
As she waits for the 2026 WNBA season to start, she was seen at Wednesday’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers, trying her hand at some photography on the baseline of the court at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
She later said that some of the photos she took, which she posted on social media, were of LeBron James. She then called James her “G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time)” and talked about momentarily catching his eye.
“The king,” Clark said. “That’s my G.O.A.T…. I swear we made eye contact, so I sat down the camera and I smiled at him and he just looked at me with a straight face.”
James had an excellent performance in that game with 23 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field, nine rebounds and nine assists. The Lakers won that game, 137-130, and overall, they have won 15 of their last 17 games, which has allowed them to rise to third place in the Western Conference.
