With the NBA Playoffs only two weeks away, everyone’s scared of the Boston Celtics

Already one of the best teams in the NBA without Jayson Tatum this year, they’ve been even better since Tatum returned from his Achilles injury in early March. The Celtics are 9-2 with Tatum in the lineup this season and are essentially at full strength, minus Nikola Vucevic.

They’ve proven themselves against the league’s top competition in recent weeks, notching convincing wins against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Atlanta Hawks and Charlotte Hornets this month alone. They look like the real deal and a legitimate title contender heading into April.

New York radio host Alan Hahn agreed during his appearance on ESPN Radio on Tuesday.

“They’re a bunch of wicked psychos.” 😁@alanhahn on the Celtics success and why they’re the most dangerous team in the East | @RandyScottESPN @880ESPNNewYork pic.twitter.com/2RGjjUn4o1

“They’re a bunch of wicked psychos. They never bought into the idea of it being a gap year,” Hahn told Randy Scott. “The Celtic way is to keep winning, any way you can, and that’s what they’ve done.”

Hahn’s also been impressed by Tatum’s return and believes Boston is firing on all cylinders heading into the postseason.

“They are…a fully operational Death Star,” Hahn added. “They are fully operational now, and they are the most dangerous team in the East.”

Sure enough, the Celtics are favored to win the Eastern Conference, and many NBA analysts concur with Hahn. As long as they stay healthy and Tatum keeps getting better, they’re going to be very hard to beat in a seven-game playoff series.
