On Wednesday, March 31, the Nuggets are set to take on the Utah Jazz on the road. The game is scheduled for a 9 PM ET tip.

With the Nuggets still working on finalizing the initial injury report, there seems to be a good chance that the report comes with good updates on the Johnson and Gordon front.

When it comes to Gordon, the one-time champion was on pace to play in the Nuggets’ recent game against the Golden State Warriors.

However, he was scratched before the outing, adding more concern to his calf issue.

Here’s what Denver head coach David Adelman told reporters about Gordon:

“It’s just too delicate to play him,” Adelman said via the Denver Post.

“If something happens, even if something small happens, and he’s out for two weeks or whatever it is, that’s a killer with this many games to go. So no reason to (play him). Sometimes I really don’t know (if the injury is serious). Majority of the time, you really do want them to at least try. Go out there and see where their body is at. Today is not one of those times.”

As for Cam Johnson, he started for the Nuggets in their action against the Warriors. After seeing the court for 19 minutes, Johnson left for the locker room due to back spasms. He was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Following the action, Johnson assured reporters that he could have returned in different circumstances. The Nuggets defeated the Warriors with a score of 116-93.

The Nuggets will search for their 49th win of the year on Wednesday night.
