Michigan State star Jase Richardson continues to be a projected lock for the first round of the NBA Draft.

FOX Sports released an updated NBA Mock Draft on Saturday, which had Richardson landing just outside the lottery. In this latest mock draft, Richardson was selected the Orlando Magic at No. 16 overall — which has been a popular landing spot for Richardson in the many mock drafts I’ve came across recently.

Here’s what FOX Sports had to say about Richardson:

“Richardson has everything you want from a combo guard— the (ability) to penetrate the lane, find the open man, and knock down jumpers. But measuring at just over six feet at the combine, he falls just outside of the lottery. If he was 6’3 or 6’4, he’d be a top-10 pick.”

This past week was the deadline for players to withdraw from the NBA Draft and return to college for next season, and Richardson remained in the draft. So there is officially no chance he’ll be turning back and playing another season at Michigan State — which honestly was the best decision for him based on the latest mock draft projections.

The NBA Draft will be held on June 25-26, with the first round on the first day and the second round on the second day. The NBA Draft will be televised on ABC and ESPN.
