In the Los Angeles Lakers win over the Washington Wizards last night, forward LeBron James for the third time this seasons set the record for oldest player to record a triple double

Earlier this season, LeBron James became the oldest player to record a triple-double. Last night, did it again.

In the Los Angeles Lakers’ 120-101 victory over the Washington Wizards, the Lakers’ forward had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists at 41-years and 90 days old, to break the record he originally set first on Feb. 12 against the Dallas Mavericks and then again on March 19 against the Miami Heat.

“He’s very praiseworthy,” Lakers Head Coach JJ Redick said. “I don’t know what else to say about him. At this point. I’ve tried to give every version of the same soliloquy on his longevity.”

James was the first player to score in the game, making a layup 17 seconds in. He reached the 10-point mark a few minutes into the second quarter after making two free throws and reached the 20-point mark with a 3-pointer early in the fourth quarter. He got his 10th rebound and assist in the fourth quarter to secure the triple-double.

On the season, James is averaging 20.9 PPG, 6.0 RPG and 7.0 APG on a 51.2 FG%.

Additionally, the Lakers did not have their star guard Luka Dončić, as he was serving a one-game suspension last night after he earned his 16th technical foul of the season last Friday.

The Lakers’ next game is tonight at 7:30 p.m. against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Crypto.com Arena.
