Nikola Jokić was named the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday after leading the Denver Nuggets through another strong stretch late in the regular season.

The NBA and the Nuggets announced that Jokić earned the award for the third time this season and the 20th time in his career, the most in the history of the Nuggets franchise.

The recognition comes as Denver continues to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season. The Nuggets have been climbing the Western Conference standings and are trying to secure playoff positioning in a tightly packed race.

Jokić remains at the center of that push. He delivered another pair of standout performances during the week, including a 33-point, 15-rebound, 12-assist triple-double in a win over Utah. He followed that with 25 points and 15 rebounds in a victory over Golden State, part of a recent winning streak that has helped stabilize Denver’s position in the standings.

For much of the season, Jokić has again been one of the NBA’s most productive players. He is averaging roughly 28 points, more than 12 rebounds and about 10 assists per game, putting him among league leaders in all three categories.
