In Christopher Kline’s latest mock for the 2026 NBA Draft from FanSided, the Milwaukee Bucks select Brayden Burries with the 10th overall pick. An Arizona product, Burries is among the players who have raised their stock mightily during March Madness and will almost certainly hear his name called with one of the first 10 picks in the draft. He could be the perfect fit for the Bucks.

Burries has the tools to be a winner in the NBA

Burries is a winner, and he has a chance to cement that as Arizona heads to the Final Four amid what has been an incredibly strong run. There is a lot to like about the guard on both ends. On offense, he’s capable of attacking the rim or stretching the defense, shooting 40.2 percent from deep. Defensively, he’s aggressive and has excellent instincts, helping him tally 1.5 steals per game.

One of the most intriguing aspects of Burries is his size. He stands at 6-foot-4 and a sturdy 204 lbs. With a build like that, he has the physical tools to be a versatile defender at the next level, holding his own against both guards and smaller forwards. In today’s NBA, players who can guard many different positions are crucial.

Burries could be an excellent fit in Bucks’ backcourt

Burries fits in seamlessly with what the Milwaukee Bucks want to do in the backcourt. As they showed by investing in Kevin Porter Jr. and Ryan Rollins, their goal is to have bigger combo guards capable of holding their weight on the defensive end who can also score in bunches on the other end. This trio has the potential to be incredibly formidable in that regard.

Burries becomes more interesting if the Milwaukee Bucks can convince Giannis Antetokounmpo to stay put. The guard will be 21 when his rookie season begins, making him older than most players in his position. He could be a tad more polished and ready to contribute from day one next season, something the Bucks need from anyone they select if the goal is title contention.

Even if Giannis departs, starting a rebuild/retooling with a player like Burries makes plenty of sense.

Whether Burries will be available at 10 could boil down to how the Final Four plays out. The guard has a great chance to raise his value even further with a strong showing. Only time will tell, but he should firmly be on Milwaukee’s radar.
