On Thursday, the team officially announced that Landale will miss at least the next two weeks for Atlanta with his right high-ankle sprain.

Londale notably sustained the injury during the Hawks’ 130-101 win over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday. He was questionably pulled down by Goga Bitadze during a close shot attempt during the 7:30 mark of regulation.

As the veteran big man went down holding his right leg, a fracas ignited between both teams. Landale was ruled out of the game, while Bitadze has been ejected with a flagrant foul 2.

Landale’s absence will be huge for the Hawks’ frontcourt, especially heading to the NBA Playoffs.

Onyeka Okungwu will shoulder an increased load as the team’s starting center, while Mo Gueye will now be Atlanta’s primary backup.

Appearing in 23 games since he was acquired by the Hawks from the Memphis Grizzlies in the past trade deadline, the Australian center is averaging a serviceable 9.1 points in 51.6 percent shooting with 4.1 rebounds.
