Austin Reaves got into it with a fan who was apparently mocking Luka Dončić after he suffered an injury in the third quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.
As Dončić was on the ground being looked at by the training staff, Reaves could be heard yelling “f–k you” to a fan who was saying that Dončić wouldn’t have to play defense anymore.
Dončić was injured midway through the third quarter and didn’t return. Lakers head coach JJ Redick told reporters afterward that Dončić received clearance from the training staff to go back in, but he didn’t want to risk him doing further damage in a game that was already out of hand.
The Lakers lost to the Thunder 139-96, with the 43-point difference tied for the seventh-worst loss in franchise history.
