Following the game, the Spurs’ head coach Mitch Johnson spoke on Wembanyama’s absence, suggesting it shouldn’t be a long-term concern.
“We don’t have any more back-to-backs, so that helps him with more recovery time,” Johnson told reporters on Thursday, according to the San Antonio Express-News. “It’s something we’ll definitely be mindful of so we can get everybody as healthy as they can be down the stretch.”

During that time, the superstar big man accounted for 41 points while shooting 72.7% from the field. He also had 18 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.
