Heading to their Monday key matchup in San Antonio against the Spurs, the Sixers have released their initial injury report. Joel Embiid is no longer listed due to his oblique and illness issues.

Embiid did not play on the second night of the Sixers’ back-to-back outing last Saturday. He skipped the team’s 116-93 loss against the Detroit Pistons.

As his return looms, he is expected to go up against Victor Wembanyama in their heavyweight center clash.

The 2023 NBA MVP has only played 37 games so far this season. He is averaging 26.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
