According to NBA insider Marc Stein, there’s “an anticipation that Bucks coach Doc Rivers and the franchise could be heading for some sort of parting or job restructuring after such a trying 2025-26 campaign.”

Taylor Jenkins named ‘prime candidate’ to replace Doc Rivers in Milwaukee

Stein suggest that the Bucks could look to shift Rivers into a front office role while replacing him on the sideline in Milwaukee.

And when it comes to replacing Rivers, the Bucks apparently already have a candidate in mind. Per Stein, former Memphis Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins has emerged as a “prime candidate” to be Rivers’ successor.

Jenkins has history with the Bucks as he served as an assistant with the team under head coach Mike Budenholzer during the 2018-19 NBA season before he went on to become the coach of the Grizzlies for six seasons.
