AUSTIN (KXAN) — Longhorns Dailyn Swain declares for the NBA draft, after leading Texas in scoring during the 2025-26 season.

After two years at Xavier and one year at Texas, Swain decided it was time to advance to the professional ranks. The Columbus, Ohio native transferred to Texas after spending his first two years with the Musketeers.

“Wearing a Xavier uniform taught me how to compete at the highest level,” Swain said.

Once he arrived to Austin with Sean Miller, Swain quickly became a core piece to the team, leading the Longhorns in all major categories: points (17.3), rebounds (7.5), assists (3.6), and steals (1.6). Swain helped lead Texas to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament, finishing the season 21-15.

“Texas elevated me and made it feel like home,” he said in his social media announcement. “This March was special. I’m grateful for every moment and every battle with my brothers.”

The NBA Draft combine will take place May 10, in Chicago, Illinois. The NBA Draft date has not been announced.
