New Orleans (26-54) defeated Utah (21-59), 156-137, Tuesday at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Former Tennessee basketball player Kennedy Chandler totaled 31 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and two steals in 43 minutes for the Jazz. He converted 11-of-18 field goal attempts, 2-of-3 three-point attempts and 7-of-8 free throw attempts.

Chandler was selected by San Antonio in the second round of the 2022 NBA draft (No. 38 overall) and traded to Memphis.

He appeared in 36 games for the Grizzlies during a rookie 2022-23 season, splitting time with the Memphis Hustle, the team’s NBA G-League affiliate, before being waived in April, 2023.

Chandler also played in the NBA G-League for the Long Island Nets (2023-24), Raptors 905 (2024-25) and the Delaware Blue Coats (2025-26).

He played for Tennessee during the 2021-22 season, appearing in 34 games, including 34 starts. Chandler averaged 13.9 points, 4.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 0.2 blocks per game.

The former Vol was a Second-Team All-SEC performer (2022). He was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and was named SEC Tournament MVP after helping Tennessee win the SEC championship.

Utah will next play Friday versus Memphis. Tipoff is slated for 9:30 p.m. EDT at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
