The Philadelphia 76ers have three games remaining in the 2025-26 regular season. Three games left to decide their fate, whether they will end up in the play-in tournament or earn a playoff spot outright.
The Sixers were idle on Tuesday, and will be again on Wednesday, but they received no help from the Miami Heat up in Toronto. The Raptors took care of business. The Sixers are now in a tough position where they need some help while the Heat are locked into the play-in tournament for the fourth straight year.
The Sixers will be idle again on Wednesday before they continue their final road trip on Thursday against the Houston Rockets. Here is a look at where things stand heading into the final days of the regular season:

Possible scenarios
The Sixers will be unable to catch the Hawks if Atlanta wins on Wednesday due to the Hawks owning the tiebreaker. Even if Philadelphia were to beat the Rockets on Thursday and remain two games back, it would be unable to catch Atlanta.
If the Magic were to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, the Sixers can overtake Orlando with a win on Thursday by virtue of the tiebreaker they own over the Magic. Therefore, a lot will be riding on Thursday’s matchup with the Rockets for Philadelphia.
