Minnesota has stumbled of late with four losses in their last six games entering this contest. The Timberwolves are playing the second game of a back-to-back situation and their fifth game in seven nights here. It’s unclear if Edwards will take the floor in this contest or not, which could seriously impact Minnesota’s chances. Orlando has three straight wins on the books entering this contest. The Magic own the rest advantage and have gone 24-15 as the home team on the year. With Minnesota banged up, fatigued and running on fumes, you have to back the Magic in this one.
Our Prediction: Magic -6.5 (DraftKings, -102)
Timberwolves vs. Magic Same Game Parlay Magic -6.5 (-102) Desmond Bane, Magic Over 19.5 Points (-113) Rudy Gobert, Timberwolves Over 11.5 Rebounds (-105)
Odds: +629
We talked about why we think Orlando is the play for this contest. Minnesota has little to play for here after Phoenix lost Tuesday night. That defeat clinched the final guaranteed playoff spot in the Western Conference for the Timberwolves. Bane has been hot of late for Orlando, scoring at least 25 points in three straight games entering this game. He has at least 20 points in four of his last five games. Gobert continues to be a force on the glass. He’s pulled down at least 10 rebounds in nine of his last 10 games. Gobert has collected at least a dozen boards in seven of those contests. Look for him to be a glass cleaner once again.
