Facing the Milwaukee Bucks at home on Wednesday, Cunningham has been cleared to play after a long absence due to his rib injury.
It was already revealed earlier that Cunningham will suit up for the Pistons for the first time this Wednesday. As such, Detroit can only celebrate that its franchise star is off for a much-awaited comeback ahead of next week’s NBA Playoffs.
Cunningham has missed the last 11 games for the Pistons after sustaining a collapsed lung. Before going down, he was on a tear by averaging 24.5 points, 9.9 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 61 games.
Behind his brilliance, the Pistons clinched the top seed of the Eastern Conference with a 57-22 record.
