BOSTON (WVUE) – Rookie Jeremiah Fears followed up his career-high 40 point game against the Jazz with a 36-point effort against the Celtics. But that wasn’t enough to deliver a Pelicans win in Boston.
New Orleans dropped its penultimate game of the 2025-26 season to the Celtics, 144-118.
Boston tied its franchise and NBA record with 29 three-pointers against the Pels. With the victory, the Celtics also clinched the No. 2 playoff seed in the Eastern Conference.
Pelicans rookie Derik Queen posted a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds.
The Pelicans close their season Sunday at Minnesota. The contest tips off at 7:30 p.m. on Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network. The pregame show starts at 7:00 p.m.
