The Philadelphia 76ers still have a shot at making the NBA Playoffs as the sixth seed. Going into Sunday’s season finale against the Milwaukee Bucks, the team is in a must-win situation.

Whoever is healthy cannot rest. And even those who are dealing with minor ailments have to push through and play.

The Sixers’ injury report isn’t crowded for the action against the Bucks, but there are obviously two core names on it in Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

Joel Embiid is ruled out, as expected.

Ahead of the Sixers’ Houston Rockets matchup on Thursday, Embiid was diagnosed with appendicitis. He underwent surgery on the afternoon of the matchup.

The procedure was successful, which was great for the 76ers. However, a return to the court before the playoffs was clearly not expected. Embiid officially wrapped up his regular-season campaign.

Embiid finishes the season with 38 games played. He shot 48.9% from the field and hit on 33.3% of his shots from three. The big man produced 26.9 points per game, along with 7.7 rebounds per game and 3.9 assists per game.

Johni Broome is the only other player listed as out on the Sixers’ injury report. The rookie center underwent surgery on his knee back in February.

Tyrese Maxey ended up on the injury report as well. The veteran guard has been dealing with a right finger tendon strain since March. Maxey recently returned to the court for the Sixers earlier than expected.

The veteran guard left Friday’s win over the Pacers for a moment. While he had a bit of a scare, Maxey would return to the court to finish the game. He wrapped up the night with 39 minutes played. Maxey shot 11-28 from the field, producing 32 points. He also had eight rebounds and five assists.

Despite being listed on the report, Maxey is considered available to play.

The Sixers and the Bucks will tip off at 6 PM ET on Sunday
